Message because then you will have to replace your whole tail light assembly. If you have the money just replace the tail lights
w/ the j-spec ones and get a new 3rd brake light trim piece, instead. Or you're going to have to repaint everything to match because once you paint the 3rd brake light piece it will look fresh and so you need to have your tail lights match it obviously, unless you don't care. You can paint over the pieces and apply alot of clear coat after you pick a base paint and you can even use a red color base paint to match your Z, which wouldn't look to bad. You need to mask off the area where the lights shine through. Or your next option would be to tint everything, which would be illegal depending on what state you live in but most cops don't even know. Anyways, the best would be to replace everything or a get a used one from someone else because its most likely to match the set you have because it will have faded slightly. The only problem with getting a used one is the 3rd brake light is it can crack or break easily. I should know because I cracked a new one and had to buy another. You need to be very careful when taking those things off.
Regards,
Jeff
